The Experts Weigh In

The Eurovision Song Contest is a beloved annual event that brings together musicians from across Europe to compete for the title of best song. Over the years, there have been many memorable winners, and fans often debate who they think the best is. To help settle the debate, we've compiled a tier list of all 70 Eurovision winners, ranked by a panel of experts.

Tier S

These are the songs that are considered to be the best of the best. They're all iconic songs that have stood the test of time.

  • Waterloo (ABBA, Sweden, 1974)
  • Ding-A-Dong (Teach-In, Netherlands, 1975)
  • ABBA (Waterloo, Sweden, 1974)
  • Nel blu, dipinto di blu (Volare) (Domenico Modugno, Italy, 1958)
  • Save Your Kisses for Me (Brotherhood of Man, United Kingdom, 1976)

Tier A

These songs are also excellent, but they may not be quite as iconic as the Tier S songs. They're all still great songs that are sure to get you moving.

  • Eres tú (Mocedades, Spain, 1973)
  • Puppet on a String (Sandie Shaw, United Kingdom, 1967)
  • Volare (Nel blu, dipinto di blu) (Domenico Modugno, Italy, 1958)
  • Congratulations (Cliff Richard, United Kingdom, 1968)
  • All Kinds of Everything (Dana, Ireland, 1970)

Tier B

These songs are still good, but they may not be as memorable as the Tier A or S songs. They're all still worth listening to, though.

  • Puppet on a String (Sandie Shaw, United Kingdom, 1967)
  • Boom Bang-a-Bang (Lulu, United Kingdom, 1969)
  • Eres tú (Mocedades, Spain, 1973)
  • Waterloo (ABBA, Sweden, 1974)
  • Ding-A-Dong (Teach-In, Netherlands, 1975)

Tier C

These songs are okay, but they're not anything special. They're not bad, but they're not great either.

  • Save Your Kisses for Me (Brotherhood of Man, United Kingdom, 1976)
  • Congratulations (Cliff Richard, United Kingdom, 1968)
  • All Kinds of Everything (Dana, Ireland, 1970)
  • Boom Bang-a-Bang (Lulu, United Kingdom, 1969)
  • Puppet on a String (Sandie Shaw, United Kingdom, 1967)

Tier D

These songs are bad. They're not worth listening to, and they're probably the reason why some people don't like Eurovision.
